The new Crystal Lake Chamber Foundation Chair, Vicki Summers, is excited to announce the 2019 GEM Leadership Award recipients; Michael Splitt, CEO and Founder of In Sync Systems, and Kathleen Caldwell, CEO and Founder of Caldwell Consulting Group.
Both recipients are being honored for their community involvement and continued financial support to local not for profits. They also assist in selecting and presenting scholarships for Leaders in Action, Bob Blazier Leadership Scholarship, and the Mark A. Elmore Architectural Scholarship to local l businesses or their employees that are active members of the Crystal Lake Chamber of Commerce.

The Crystal Lake Chamber of Commerce Foundation is hosting the 5th Annual “Be Brilliant” GEM Leadership Luncheon on Thursday, March 8, 2018 from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at the Boulder Ridge Country Club. This year’s honoree is Gary Reece, owner of Heartland Cabinet Supply, Inc. in Crystal Lake.
Gary has been an active and generous leader in the community since 1989 and currently sits on the McHenry County Housing Authority, Crystal Lake EDC and is an Ambassador of the Crystal Lake Chamber of Commerce. “Gary has been a member of the Crystal Lake Chamber of Commerce for 18 years. He has always been active in supporting both community non-profits as well as the community at large,” said Cameron Hubbard, the Chamber Foundation’s Board Member and GEM Luncheon Committee Chair. “The GEM theme, which stands for Generous, Enthusiastic and Motivated to make a difference, are all qualities Gary embodies.”

The Foundation administers a variety of scholarships for leading development that helps prepare emerging leaders for the future advancement of the business community and society.
