Richard was honored at the 3rd Annual GEM Leadership Luncheon on March 11th for his long standing legacy of quietly serving the Crystal Lake community. He has been instrumental in enhancing numerous downtown business events, Chamber events, local charitable events and many youth organizations. He is past president of the Crystal Lake Downtown/Main Street Association and continues to serve on their board.
Richard is a consistent champion of Crystal Lake and the business community. “Giving back to the community that has been very good to Countryside, has been very important to me,” said Richard. While Countryside is a member of several local Chambers, Richard himself has been active in the Crystal Lake Chamber since 1982 and currently serves on the golf committee, is an Ambassador, and Past Chamber Board of Directors member. He was the recipient of the Robert O. Covey Business of the Year in 2004, Presidential Award of Excellence in 2010, and Independence Day Parade Grand Marshal in 2013. Countryside is also the recipient of the 2010 Pride in Crystal Lake Award.
